  • Develop educational materials and programs for the public, decision-makers, and others on what they can do to help promote bird conservation in Ohio.
  • Promote and coordinate statewide participation in International Migratory Bird Day.
  • Draft a statewide communication plan identifying audiences, messages, message delivery channels (Internet, television, newspaper, regional magazine, radio, personal appearance, etc.) including a timetable for execution and a plan for assessment of communication success.
  • Advise Coordinating Council on opportunities for public outreach related to birds.
  • Seek out and coordinate efforts with any existing communication and outreach teams working in other states.
  • Contact educators at various levels about opportunities for students to be involved in outreach, research, or other activities related to birds.
